- 52 for 52 to fight cancer had an amazing day today. We were able to spread the word about this great event which is my main goal. A few more people know about 52 for 52 and that's huge.
- the 50/50 raffle is in full swing now and hopefully I can build on that moment and keep this moving in the right direction.
- update on where 52 for 52 to fight cancer is headed:
- I will soon have an email address just for 52 for 52
- I am also working on getting a web page going and adding a lot more content.
- our mission statement is also being worked on along with my story of who I am and why I am so passionate about this event.

I want to thank everyone who supported 52 for 52 today. You continue to encourage me and help me know that I am heading in the right direction. So thank you!

So excited! Today 52 for 52 received its first donation and kicked off the raffle. I am so thankful that people are becoming aware of this project and my organization. Remember to spread the word. Nobody should have to fight cancer alone. Thank you :)

9/27/2012 - 50/50 raffle

I have 2,000 raffle tickets for sale! They are just $1 each. The winner will receive 50% of the sales. 25% will go to the 52 for 52 event and the other 25% will go to benefit Imerman Angels one on one cancer support. This will be done through PayPal (see below) for link to account. Please make sure to enter your email address when you buy your raffle tickets. I will then email your numbers and your tickets. I would like to set the drawing for 10/31/2012 or as soon as all tickets are sold. Thank you for all your support.

So a lot of ideas are floating around in my head on how to get more people involved an the word out there. My question for everyone is... What would be most helpful to help fight and beat cancer? More free support, free screenings for early detection, more information/facts in general about cancer? Please leave comments, emails, or even just text me your thoughts.

This weeks goal is to get 1,000 people on Facebook invited to 52 for 52. Right now I am at about 419. So please invite all your friends and family to this event. That will help spread the world and hopefully make this event even bigger.

I also am working on getting a couple stories on here very soon and possibly soon sponsors. 2 of the 52 races have dedications already. If you would like to share a story please let me know.

52 for 52 to fight cancer

Day: 1

 - Today I kick of this blog with a little information about what this is actually for. I have been working with Imerman Angels one on one cancer support group for almost 3 years now. I have decided to take on a major project for 2013. What better way to fight cancer than to run 52 races. Each race will be dedicated to someone who is fighting cancer, fought cancer, or who we have lost to cancer. Each raise the goal will be to raise $375. That is the cost to help 1 person fight cancer with this amazing group Imerman Angels. All proceeds will go to benefit this great organization. 

- I decided to start the blog today because it does cost some money to run these races. So for the next few months my goal is to raise as much money as I can through donations, sponsorship, auctioned items, charity events, bar crawls, change drives, etc. to help get to each race. The list of races will start to form as donations come in. I will then be able to see what races I can afford. Through out 2013, I will be focused on training, running each race, and raising the $375 per race to help fight cancer. Together we can beat this.

- The main message I want to send out with 52 for 52 is to simply get people connected and aware of Imerman Angels and to know that they are not alone in the fight. 

- Over the next year, I will be updating this blog with every detail I can. From money raised, to race experience, to stories from anyone who wants to share what they have gone through, to pics of everything that we are fighting for. I want to make this a blog not just for me but for everyone to share. I am going to try  and update this everyday if I can. Links with all the details will follow. This is just the beginning stages. If you have any tips for me please feel free to drop me a line. Thank you everyone for all your support. Please Please Please pass this on to everyone you know. This is the biggest thing I will have ever done in my life so  I really need everyone's help to make this a success.
